It all started when…

Opened originally in 2018 in Portobello, we started life as a small coffee shop and wine bar. During the Covid lockdowns in 2020 we rebranded under the new Brindle name and under new management. We responded to the lockdown by focusing on retail, providing support for local producers and convenient options for our customer base.

Since then we have gone from strength to strength, constantly developing our offerings, keeping our fingers on the pulse and remaining proactive at anticipating the wants of our customers. As a business we focus on creating a point of differentiation while supporting small, independent producers.

Our product purchasing leans heavily into the organic and sustainable aspect of production. Every bottle of wine on our shelves is organic practice, most from small scale wineries. Most of our retail items are Irish produced. Each item we purchase has a rationale and a story which we believe in, these stories also help to create an emotional response from our customers which encourages loyalty. The majority of our packaging is compostable, and that which isn't is recyclable.

All of these aspects have led us become a popular hub in our neighbourhood with excellent local relationships.
